'Chicagoland' has a strong central leader. The pointy green leaves cover the tree in spring and summer turning a buttery yellow in the fall. It has interesting warty bark, that looks quite beautiful as the tree matures. It adapts to both dry and wet conditions. It is tolerated of urban conditions and salt. Used best as a shade tree.
