Picea pungens 'Fat Albert' is an outstanding blue spruce that has a straight leader, strong apical dominance, and is shorter. The upright, compact branching helps this variety be almost maintenance free. Tolerates dry sites, wind, air pollution and salt. Can be used in smaller yards and provides great color contrast.
